A set of 12 sample size high quality iron oxide based concrete, mortar and paint dye and pigment - it can also be used to colour epoxy resin and grout .High quality pigment which gives a true strong colour.
You will receive 25g of each colour: charcoal, black, white, blue, brick red, terracotta, orange, grass green, sage green, buff, yellow and plum.
Larger amounts of particular colours are available on my other listings.
The dry pigment is supplied in easy to seal clear plastic bags.
The white dye is White Titanium dioxide for concrete, cement, paint, plastics, rubber, plaster, surface coatings, coating formulations and adhesives.. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you consider using White Cement with this product. If you attempt to use this with grey cement all you will ever get is a lighter shade of grey in your final product.
The pigment can be added to any wet pour concrete, mortar renders, resins or paints . It is best added to the dry mix of sand and ballast and throughly mixed, before adding the cement and then the water.
They are high quality, dry, lightfast, odourless, alkali and weather resistant, UV stable, non-hazardous. The powdered pigment is added during the mixing process of the material. This product is not designed and should never be applied to the external surface of any material as it will not stick and will run. Colours may vary due to natural variation but the difference will be very small.
The ratio of pigment to mix is relative to the amount of powdered cement in your mix, in most cases somewhere between 1 - 8% will give a noticeable colour. In practical terms that is between 10 and 80g of concrete dye per 1kg of dry concrete mix.. Anything above 10% concentration is starting to weaken the concrete.
